    A Grain Through Generations

Some stories don’t just stay in the kitchen. They travel through time, across generations, and back to the table. This note from Ali reminded us that the smallest details—texture, flavor, and care—can bring someone right back to home.

I just wanted to reach out because I found your polenta at a small grocery store about 45 minutes from me, and I was honestly so surprised by how good it was. I grew up on a Swiss Italian dish of polenta with a red wine chicken stew. It’s a family recipe that’s been passed down since my relatives came over from Switzerland in the early 1900s.

Every member in my family has made their own small tweaks to the recipe to make it their own. I particularly make my polenta cheesy. Anyways, I’m very picky about my polenta. My grandpa would bring back polenta when he’d travel to Switzerland. Once he passed, I was only buying the typical brands you find on shelves here in California. And they don’t compare whatsoever to the polenta I grew up on.

Yours is the first one in the States that tastes like the real thing and what I’ve always known. The texture and flavor brought me right back to what I grew up eating. I can’t even tell you how happy that made me. I have a few bags stocked at home now and have sent some to family members because I knew they’d get just as excited about it.

You can feel how much care and history goes into what you do. It makes your products feel even more special. It’s rare to come across a company that keeps that kind of tradition alive.

I haven’t tried your other products yet, but I’m looking forward to it. I love grits and I’m sure yours are just as good as your polenta.
