They form the base of many classic dishes, from Hoppin’ John, to stews and salads across the Southern and coastal United States. Over centuries, their flavor profile has become intertwined with the smoky, savory, and spicy notes of Southern cooking, reflecting a fusion of African, European, and Native American influences.

When it returned to the South in the 19th century, the single-ear-per-stalk crop could produce up to eight cobs per stalk. We are extremely happy to be able to offer it to you.
